Tsalapetinos was born a year ago and was immediately loved as a top choice offering a high quality product in a unique environment. It looks like a ‘coffee house & bar-restaurant’ but calls itself an ‘urban farm’. It is located in the center of Kavala, on the beach. The building is neoclassical, the walls are made of stone and brick, industrial flooring, high ceiling with wooden beams, a lot of metal with old furniture and industrial elements, a yard with trees and the sea at 50m. forms the area of Chalapeteinos. With a characteristically large bar and a vintage setting, with jazz, swing, rock n’ roll and experimental music, it becomes a hangout for all hours and all ages, suffocatingly full winter and summer. And everyone feels comfortable and familiar. Stocking a wide selection of wine labels in its arched stone cellar, having a constantly renewed cocktail list and dozens of aged liquors – selections hard to find in any collector’s cellar – it exceeds sophisticated tastes at affordable prices. In addition, on the tsala beer list you will find dozens of labels of all kinds of beer and a wide variety of special draft beers, among which erdinger (weisse), krusovice (pilsner) and the Irish stout Guinness stand out. The food menu (12:00/01:00) includes a certain number of dishes from bruschettas and cleverly handcrafted starters, cool salads (try spinach salad with talagani, salmon or prosciutto/chicken) to main courses. The menu is renewed every quarter according to the season and the freshness of its ingredients. Try the spicy bbq spare ribs with butter and thyme split potatoes, the juicy burger (medium grilled) with caramelized onion, mushroom, cheddar, crispy bacon and sauteed potatoes, the veal tagliata on toasted bread with almond paste, the unbeatable rib eye fillet with gnocchi in roquefort sauce.
