Restaurant KAIAMO is all about terroir and seasonality. A coexistence between the aging process and the natural world around us.
The goal of our kitchen is to recreate the origins of our ancestors’ cuisine, when meals were determined by the location and season of the meal.
The genuine artist in this case is nature.
As Chefs, we just prepare the main stage for it to shine at its own pace through a particular form of cuisine. Our principles are based on Mother Nature, with a primary emphasis on the love of food and respect for both local products and craftspeople.
This location, amid the capital city’s famous Ermil Pangratti Street, pampers the site with a historical mist of artistic surroundings.
All sculptors, painters, and their studios, as well as art galleries, used to be located on this same street.
Therefore, the design components, the tactile modern art, the ethnic reinterpretations, and the tableware and silverware all contribute to the sense of the artistic essence of our restaurant.
We embrace our lost national ideals and pay homage to them by presenting them in a unique way that embodies respect and reverence.

Just before our first year anniversary, KAIAMO joins THE WORLD’S 50 BEST Family, the highly regarded global gastronomic guide produced by San Pellegrino.
KAIAMO has been listed among the Top 1,000 BEST places in the World as part of the “50 BEST DISCOVERY” project.
Chef Radu Ionescu is recognized by Gault & Millau Romania as one of the “Great Chefs of Tomorrow.”
To soothe and safeguard those impacted by the war close to Romania’s borders, Chef Radu and the entire KAIAMO team work to provide Ukrainian refugees with food, shelter, medicine, baby necessities, clothes, and resources. Additionally, the Restaurant KAIAMO team was able to give part-time and full-time employment contracts to Ukrainian refugees, giving those who were most at risk during those times long-term stability.
