Our century, which began and developed under the sign of industrialization, first invented the machine, and then adopted it as the model of its life. We are subject to haste and we are all infected by the same insidious virus: the fast way of life that destroys our customs, disturbs the tranquility of our home and forces us to submit to “Fast Food”. To live up to his name, Homo Sapiens must free himself from his hectic life before it turns him into an endangered species. The only way to counter the universal madness of Fast Life is to stand firmly behind ordinary earthly pleasure.

Our advocacy must start at the Slow Food table. Let’s rediscover the flavors and aromas of local cuisines and banish the degrading effects of Fast Food. In the name of productivity, “Fast Life” has changed our way of being and threatens our nature and everything around us. Therefore, Slow Food is now the only adequate answer. This is what true culture consists in: to develop taste, not to make it meaningless. And what better way than to exchange experience, knowledge and projects on an international scale?

Restaurant HEBROS- Slow Eating
In November 2004 in the restaurant Hebros, the first slow food club “Old Town Plovdiv” was established in our country, a branch of the international Slow Food movement, founded in 1986. in a small restaurant in the Italian town of Bra. The Hebros restaurant periodically organizes events that aim to popularize little-known Bulgarian products.
Meetings are also open to people who are not members of the organization.
