Po’ Boys BBQ is a new space that now houses the much-loved Po’ Boys Food Truck. The inspiration behind Po’ Boys is chef Vassilis Sporos who traveled all the way to the American South to learn firsthand the authentic Southern BBQ. Now the public of Athens can try smoked meats and the comfort food of New Orleans at this beautiful BBQ joint that opened a few days ago. The menu includes juicy burgers and hearty sandwiches, with fried chicken, pulled pork, handmade Andouille sausage, tacos and a delicious vegan option, Briskets, short ribs and pork ribs, tasty side dishes and the very special New Orleans Gumbo Soup which is worth a try along with the delicious Mac ‘N’ Cheese, Donuts Beignets and sweet tarts of the day.
