Kali kardia tou Egre
Egre’s Kali Kardi Tavern in Rafina has a long history and offers Greek cuisine. From here in 1940-1944, Stavros Egres together with other Rafiniots fled to the Middle East Greeks and Englishmen. There is also a song, “Alexandria-Rafina go in those years”, which characterizes these events. Film and television films such as “Psarogiannis”, “The Dyed Red Hair” and “Three Widows” by K. Koutsomytis were also filmed in the tavern. The tradition therefore continues from grandfather to daughter and now to the grandson, current owner Stavros Delimanolis. The menu is inspired by traditional and Asia Minor recipes that are served on your plate full of deliciousness. Try the local and delicious pork steak, kebabs, Smyrna minced meat in spicy recipes and the rest of the well-cooked and cooked home-made meats. The environment is comfortable and will give you a wide view of the open horizon. At the Kali Kardia tavern of Egre you will experience a short trip to Izmir on your plate.
