I have had the privilege of dining at Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe and the United States, but my experience at Dieci Boutique Restaurant was truly on another level. This was not just a dinner – it was an unforgettable culinary journey curated with precision, creativity, and soul by Chef Gianfranco Chiarini and Chef Daniel Gamiche.
From the very beginning, the experience set a new standard. The Pumpkin White Russian Gelée aperitivo and Petite Shopska amuse-bouche with local Kubratsko cheese from the Ludogorie were bold, delicate, and full of surprising harmony – a perfect introduction to what was to come. Each dish that followed was a masterpiece, both visually and in flavor balance.
The Sea Bream with lemon and trout roe was fresh and refined, the Duck Foie Gras with Kozunak and pistachio paired tradition with elegance, and the Celeriac with buttermilk, almond, and truffle was simply sublime. I particularly loved the playful creativity of the Sablé with guanciale, mussels, and parmesan – a combination I never thought could work so perfectly.
Every course carried a unique story, and the chefs’ personalities were reflected on the plate. The progression through the menu felt like reading a well-written novel – from delicate beginnings to bold, comforting mains like the Wagyu with pomme confit and jus and the extraordinary Quail with truffle, lavender, and BBQ notes.
And then, the desserts – pure poetry. The Raspberries with roses and lemon crumble was refreshing and elegant, while the Smoked Rakia with Mavrud balsamico and lavender was a daring, distinctly Bulgarian finale that left a lasting impression.
The wine pairings were meticulously chosen, elevating every bite and showcasing the best of European winemaking alongside local gems.
What makes Dieci stand out is not only the extraordinary food but the atmosphere. The chefs themselves presented the dishes, sharing insights with genuine passion. It felt personal, almost like being invited into their creative world.
This is far more than just another Michelin experience – it is an intimate, immersive dining adventure that transcends expectations. Dieci Boutique Restaurant is, without doubt, one of the finest gastronomic destinations I have ever experienced. If you are a true food lover, this place is worth traveling across continents for.
