Review for Dieci Boutique Restaurant
Celebrating our wedding anniversary at this boutique restaurant was far beyond what we imagined — it was not just a dinner, but a deeply personal and inspiring experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth, attention, and elegance that it felt like we were being invited into someone’s home rather than into a restaurant. Every detail — from the greeting to the farewell — carried a sense of refinement, kindness, and genuine care. It wasn’t “flashy” or showy, but instead a quiet, authentic class that came through in the way Chef Gianfranco and Chef Anna Chiarini spoke with us, related to us, and shared their lives. It felt like an evening of true elegance and etiquette — something rare and deeply moving.
The food itself was astonishing: a unique reinterpretation of Bulgarian cuisine, full of artistry and soul. Local ingredients, sourced from small producers across the country, were transformed into dishes that didn’t just taste wonderful — they evoked memory and emotion. We were humbled to have people who once discovered Bulgarian cuisine as something completely new to them, guide us to rediscover it as new to us. Every dish carried both tradition and innovation, sparking conversations about the past while inspiring thoughts about the future. It was cuisine that didn’t just feed us, but inspired us.
One of the most special parts of the evening was the connection we felt with the chefs themselves. Our conversations with Gianfranco and Anna went far beyond food — we talked about life, inspiration, and dreams. We left not only with full hearts and senses, but with the feeling that we had created a genuine friendship. That is a gift we did not expect, and one we deeply treasure.
We also had the chance to tour their property, and we were touched by the love, thought, and care poured into every detail. The harmony of the space, the dedication to local partnerships, and the philosophy behind everything they do left us deeply impressed.
This evening has stayed with us, and we have already shared it with many of our friends. We are planning to return with people close to us, because it feels like the kind of experience you want to give as a gift. We truly believe that having people like Gianfranco and Anna here in Bulgaria is a blessing, and we hope that more and more visitors will discover their work — and leave, as we did, not only inspired in taste, but inspired in life.
