Methistanes

The Methystanes restaurant is located in Psirri, in the center of Athens and has a rich history since the Fall of 1995. It offers Greek cuisine and has had loyal customers since the beginning of its operation. One summer night in ’94 in Exarchion Square, Jenny, Makis and Ilias thought of opening a restaurant. In fact, Methystanes is the first restaurant that opened in the then underground area of Psirri. The building is distinctive and characterized by the art deco architecture of the 30s. The menu includes a wide variety of appetizers and Greek specialties, as well as a variety of meats cooked with love and pure ingredients, which ideally accompany your wine or drink. Drunken veal, pork knuckle and shrimp pasta make the difference. And the songs rushed into the space, from other eras, from other countries and mingled there, in folk, artistic and rebetiko sounds, with artists who alternated in the evenings with live music. Methystanes will become your refuge for meze and a genuine Greek feast in the center of Athens. If you are looking for a good tavern with live music, make a reservation through e-table
