Don Moskio
The new venture of the active and renowned Kastelorizo Group in the field of catering focuses, this time, on excellent quality meat and presents Don Moskios, a concept restaurant aimed at lovers of fine meat, to offer them a high-level culinary experience .Don Mosquio takes its inspiration from the origin of the founder of the Group and turns to the continental dialect, according to which the calf is called “mosquio”. Thus, the persona of the eponymous aristocratic Don emerges. The headquarters of Don Moskio, respectively, could only be located in Kifissia, in a place that highlights hospitality and affordable luxury. In the menu of this bloody good meat restaurant, the premium cuts are the protagonists, which highlight the best parts of the veal and make the most of them through the ideal recipes of Chefde Cuisine Angelou Tzhan. The menu honors beef of excellent quality, not only in the main dishes of excellent technique, but also in appetizers such as the beef marrow and black angus meatballs. Among the proposals there is no shortage of the Greek organic Iberico pig, while the burger is also offered in an alternative and an original version of minced mutton. Off the grill, the selections tempt with dishes that creatively and subversively approach the classic recipes of moussaka, fricassee and stewed rooster. The wine list is rich with special selections of Greek and foreign origin, while the spirits have their due with special proposals from all over the world. Don Moschio proposes a series of imaginative signature cocktails, each with its own personality. Among them stands out the Don Mosquio, an aromatic version of the Mai Tai based on an aged blend with the host’s secret recipe. Also worth mentioning is the exotic cocktail Memoirs of a Geisha with tones of ginger, citrus fruits, red forest fruits, Japanese lychee and a botanical gin base with passion fruit. Don Moschio’s personality is reflected in the space through the careful decoration. Red tones and dark green accents prevail, a tailormade portrait of Don Moschio adorns the main hall, while a composition of old meat grinders and decorative bull heads are reminiscent of modern sculptures. .In addition to the striking red brick, which covers the walls, the rich red marble with white waters that dresses the bar also stands out, as a reference to the protagonist of the kitchen, beef. The concept is reflected in all aspects of the visual identity with the logo to refer to the coats of arms of aristocratic families with a tradition of animal husbandry. A gust of blood “stains” the menus and the cocktail list, reminiscent of a collector’s item, comes in a wooden box with a corkscrew, highlighting each recipe through portraits of different personalities, which enrich the world of the aristocratic foodie.
