The stylish new arrival in Plutarchou is an all day bistro that marries Mediterranean with French technical cuisine. The chives, which lend flavor to every preparation, were chosen by the charismatic and experienced chef Giorgos Iliou with the well-known auteur of bars Yiannis Samaras for their new culinary “child” that recently started sailing in one of the busiest streets of Kolonaki. The chef’s influence in his post-Polly Maggoo era borrows elements and techniques from French culinary culture with a Mediterranean logic, emphasizing Greek traditional products. Bruschettas and sandwiches daily from 9.00 in the morning and a food menu that starts from 12.30 includes diverse proposals that stand out. From the refreshing soup of the day and the delicious smoked Messolonghi eel with potato cream, Tinos capers and lemon, to the “exuberant” veal carpaccio prepared in the traditional way, as well as meatballs made from organic chickpeas, oats and spicy mustard, Ciboulette is the ideal taste filtering from the rhythms of Kolonaki. For the mains, you will find a “palmare” of tagliatelle, linguini and grouper that really triumph both in appearance and taste. Ciboulette collaborates with the neighboring Mai Tai and gives you the opportunity to enjoy your food by combining it with a refined cocktail. For the sweetest ending, try the lemon mousse with crispy leaf crust and blueberries or the white chocolate, with date crumble and red fruit coulis (a revelation) or even the bitter chocolate with praline mousseline.
